A few weeks ago, I wrote a blog post on the concept of family within Barry-Wehmiller.

It’s a word that is used frequently in regard to Barry-Wehmiller. In fact, it’s in the title of my book, Everybody Matters: The Extraordinary Power of Caring for Your People Like Family, which comes from the experiences of many people inside of Barry-Wehmiller and visitors who have seen our culture firsthand and then describing it as a family. Not “like a family,” but as a family.

As I said in that recent blog post, I believe – in our company’s language – family doesn’t mean blood-related. It means an environment or culture of unconditional care.

When someone in our family at Barry-Wehmiller has a problem, we try to do our best to respond with care.

On this installment in our Truly Human Leadership: INSPIRED video series, Daniel Platschek, of our International Finance team, talks about a difficult time when we were able to support him.

After all, he’s part of the Barry-Wehmiller family.

Watch Daniel's story through the link above.
