Machine Solutions Inc. expands with new Minnesota applications lab and showroom

New facility dedicated to advancing catheter technology and local manufacturing innovation

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. — Oct. 15, 2024 — Machine Solutions Inc., the leading provider of advanced equipment and services for the catheter manufacturing market, has opened a new applications lab and showroom just minutes away from the Maple Grove, Minnesota, medical device hub.

Located at 9350 W. Broadway, #190, in Brooklyn Park, the new facility provides access to top-of-the-line braiding, coiling, stranding and lamination equipment. The opening of the applications lab and showroom marks a significant investment by Machine Solutions in Minnesota’s growing medical device industry. The new innovation space joins other Machine Solutions labs in Spartanburg, South Carolina; Flagstaff, Arizona; and Hori, Switzerland.

Engineers can use Machine Solutions’ Brooklyn Park lab to design and develop catheter components using state-of-the-art equipment from all Machine Solutions brands, including Beahm Designs, BW-TEC, MSI, PlasticWeld Systems, Steeger USA, Crescent Design and Vante. The innovative space offers hands-on demonstrations, tailored applications and collaborative opportunities with expert technicians.

The capabilities offered in Machine Solutions’ new lab include braiding, coiling, lamination, catheter assembly, catheter performance testing (track and leak tests), hydraulic burst and leak testing, balloon compliance testing and training on proper equipment maintenance.

“This lab will be a hub for creativity and excellence, allowing us to develop solutions that meet the complex needs of today’s healthcare challenges,” said Bogen.

The facility, which also houses divisions of other Machine Solutions companies and catheter manufacturing product lines, will also focus on exploring new materials and methodologies to enhance catheter braiding and design. The goal is to develop reliable, effective products for healthcare providers and patients.
