ST. LOUIS — April 13, 2023 — BW Packaging, Barry-Wehmiller’s global team of packaging professionals, will showcase the latest people-centric packaging innovations from its five divisions – Accraply, BW Flexible Systems, BW Integrated Systems, Pneumatic Scale Angelus, and Synerlink – at Interpack, held from May 4 to 10 in Düsseldorf, Germany. The BW Packaging stand (6/C79) will include a comprehensive range of packaging solutions including filling and closing, flexible packaging, labeling, end-of-line solutions, and systems integration.

“Our vision is to ensure that everyone who interacts with our team and products feels that they are genuinely being cared for,” said John Koke, Vice President of Technical and Strategic Innovation for BW Packaging. “Our approach to packaging innovation is grounded in how we demonstrate fundamental value creation for our customers. When developing new products, we ask ourselves, what are the needs of the people who use our machines and services every day, and what can we do to better address those needs?”

Interpack stand 6/C79 will include several innovations developed with this people-centric approach:

BW Flexible Systems’ Hayssen ISB Sanitary Bagger was built specifically in response to customer requests for a bagger that features unparalleled hygienic design that’s easy to change over, flexible, and intuitive to operate. The ISB’s open-channel modular design, sloped surfaces for easy cleaning, and tool-less changeover capabilities are just a few of the many features implemented to address specific customer needs.

Synerlink will display its versatile ARCIL 5 cup thermoforming machine, which was designed to meet several needs specified by dairy and food customers. This solution – which accommodates PET, PLA, PS, PP, and multilayer materials – was designed for chest-high operations to ease ergonomic stress. With speeds between 18,000-28,800 cups per hour, ARCIL 5 accounts for the needs of a myriad of operational leaders, maintenance teams, business leaders, and more end users.

Pneumatic Scale Angelus will showcase people-centric innovation via its line of mass flow and net weigh filling and capping solutions. These machines meet a diverse set of customer needs and are designed with optimum efficiency and performance in mind. Quick-change container handling systems, integrated reject systems, and servo-controlled capping with recipe-driven cam profiles are just a few of the people-centric design features included in PSA’s solutions – old, new, and future alike.

Accraply will exhibit one of its Graham & Sleevit DF Series label applicators. These labelers feature an ergonomic design and a focus on operator safety with their new guarding system. They were also created with sustainability in mind, allowing for lower gauge shrink sleeves to be applied to products.

BW Integrated Systems will provide information on its Maximus Mid-Speed Case Palletizer. This all-electric machine was developed in response to a customer need for a palletizer that doesn’t rely on pneumatic air. Maximus is the only case palletizer in its class to offer an all-electric option. The machine wastes less power than its pneumatic air counterparts and experiences no issues with valves, cylinders, or leaks present in pneumatic air machines.

In addition, Interpack Stand 6/C79 will display information on BW Packaging’s sustainability efforts and more solutions from its portfolio of trusted OEM brands including Hayssen, Hema, Angelus, Sandiacre, Symach, Zepf Solutions and more. Team members for each of these brands will be available at stand 6/C79 to answer questions and gather additional information on new customer needs.
