ROMEOVILLE, Ill — April 23, 2015 — Pete Carlson, President of BW Container Systems, is pleased to announce the promotion of Richard Cranston to Managing Director. BW Container Systems, a division of Barry‐Wehmiller, designs and manufactures integrated packaging machinery solutions for the food, beer and beverage, container manufacturing, personal care, household and pharmaceutical industries. BW Container Systems technology can be found in 70 countries across the globe.

Cranston began his career with Barry-Wehmiller Design Group in 1998 and joined the BW Container Systems executive team in 2007 as Operations Director for its UK Operation.

Cranston’s responsibilities across the EMEA region will include sales, aftermarket, engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, project management and service. BW Container Systems’ employs nearly 500 team members among five operations in Chicago; Denver; Lynchburg, Va.; Baltimore, Md.; and Doncaster, U.K. Cranston will continue to be based out of the Doncaster facility.
